C19 · PRACTICE GUIDE
Processes & Playbooks
Turn recurring situations into practical actions, decisions and closure evidence.
A process describes the repeatable flow of work. A playbook helps a person act in a specific situation, using a trigger, context, owner, steps and exit criteria. Keep the playbook short enough to use and detailed enough to make the next decision clear.
Put it into practice
Select a recurring situation with meaningful customer impact. Define the trigger, entry conditions and intended result.
Set the accountable owner, actions, decision points, communications and escalation path.
Define closure evidence and a review cadence. Improve the playbook from actual use and documented exceptions.
What good evidence looks like
A versioned playbook with trigger, role, actions, decision path and closure criteria.
WATCH FOR
A common failure mode
Publishing long checklists without an owner or treating completion of steps as proof of recovery.
What to measure
Playbook effectiveness, exception patterns and time to the intended customer result.
